419 partidos políticos y organizaciones de la sociedad civil se reunieron para emitir una declaración conjunta en la Asociación de Periodistas del Sureste (GGC) en Amed, pidiendo el reconocimiento de la Administración Autónoma del Norte y el Este de Siria (AADNES) mediante una multitudinaria recogida de firmas. Al evento asistió Keskin Bayındır, co-presidente del Partido de las Regiones Democráticas (DBP), así como representantes de los partidos y organizaciones firmantes.
La declaración, leída en kurdo y turco, recogía lo siguiente: "En Oriente Próximo, un mosaico de lenguas, religiones y culturas, el caos sigue profundizándose. Las fronteras trazadas por los gobernantes después de la Primera Guerra Mundial, sin tener en cuenta las realidades políticas, sociales y culturales de la región, no han resuelto los problemas existentes; en cambio, han añadido otros nuevos a la lista de problemas. El statu quo establecido durante el siglo pasado ha llevado a conflictos y crisis en curso que crecen día a día en Oriente Próximo. El siglo pasado nos ha demostrado que ninguna ecuación desconectada de la realidad de nuestra geografía tiene el potencial de tener éxito. Las ecuaciones que se están imponiendo no han ofrecido a los pueblos de la región más que guerra y muerte.
A lo largo de la historia, la búsqueda de la libertad por parte de los pueblos se ha visto socavada al convertirla en terreno de guerras étnicas, religiosas y sectarias. Los intentos de establecer sistemas autoritarios, excluyentes y antidemocráticos no han hecho más que amplificar y profundizar los problemas existentes. Hoy, una vez más, estamos siendo testigos de un proceso histórico en el que los regímenes despóticos de Oriente Próximo se están desmoronando uno a uno. La solución a la crisis reside en el establecimiento de un sistema en el que los pueblos, las creencias, las culturas y todos los grupos marginados puedan expresarse libremente. Los acontecimientos en Oriente Próximo, y en particular en Siria, han demostrado una vez más que los proyectos encaminados a crear una nación singular negando la diversidad no tienen ninguna posibilidad de sobrevivir. La única solución viable para Siria es garantizar que todos los pueblos tengan derecho a gobernarse a sí mismos en las regiones que habitan. En la última década, el modelo de gobierno construido en Rojava, iniciado por mujeres, ha proporcionado una base de paz y estabilidad para los pueblos de la región. Turquía, que ha sido incapaz de resolver su propia cuestión kurda durante un siglo, ahora pretende desmantelar el modelo de gobierno democrático establecido en Rojava. Estas políticas han demostrado no ser beneficiosas para la resolución de la cuestión kurda, ya sea en Turquía, Siria o en cualquier otro lugar. Por el contrario, han internacionalizado la cuestión kurda, exacerbando su complejidad".
Los pueblos de Siria alcanzarán su estatus gracias a la Administración Autónoma
La declaración continuaba: "Como partidos políticos, organizaciones de la sociedad civil e instituciones democráticas abajo firmantes, seguimos de cerca los acontecimientos tanto en Siria como en Rojava.
Recordamos al público el preámbulo del Contrato Social de Rojava:
‘Por el establecimiento de la justicia, la libertad y la democracia en una sociedad igualitaria y ecológica libre de discriminación basada en la religión, el idioma, la raza, las creencias, la secta o el género. Por el logro de valores pluralistas, únicos y compartidos de vida comunitaria a través de la estructura política y moral de los componentes de la sociedad democrática. Por el respeto de los derechos de las mujeres y la institucionalización de los derechos de las mujeres y los niños y las niñas. Por la defensa, la autodefensa y la libertad de creencias y el respeto de todas las creencias. Nosotros y nosotras, los pueblos de las regiones autónomas democráticas, kurdos, árabes, sirios (asirios y arameos), turcomanos y chechenos aceptamos este contrato.’
Nuestro llamamiento es el siguiente: los pueblos que viven en la región ya no pueden tolerar una vida sin estatus. En particular, la resolución democrática de la cuestión kurda también traerá paz a Oriente Próximo. En este contexto, hacemos un llamamiento a todas las partes pertinentes para que reconozcan la Administración Autónoma del Norte y el Este de Siria y apoyen el establecimiento de un modelo de gobernanza democrática en Siria que proteja los derechos de todos sus pueblos".
